Nampa Police Warn of Late-Night Door Knocking

Nampa Police warned residents about a group that has been showing up in neighborhoods near Middleton and Iowa, knocking on doors late at night.

In a statement, the department said the group has potentially been trespassing on private property and has “ding-dong-ditched” at several homes on multiple occasions during the last two weeks.

Police said residents are not impressed by the activity and that the continued behavior has led the department to wonder whether the actions could be escalating into criminal activity.

The department said prowling around homes at night, potentially trespassing, or disturbing the peace is not safe and is illegal. Police asked people who recognize the group to let the department know, adding that they want the group’s “fun” to stop negatively.
